My inbox is overflowing with prototype pics of up and coming gas blowback rifles from WE. A little bit of investigation traced them back to the God Armed Blog.

What’s missing from the blowback system on the KAC PDW below and M14 above, give you a clue, brass. Is WE testing the new Open Bolt gas blowback system?

Only time will tell what surfaces from WE Labs, only time will tell……

what we know for sure that they're comming out with is the browning pistol and the m14 -they show these in a youtube video, saying that they will show case them in germany and come out with them later

oh yeah in the pic with the acr i think, there is an upside down bolt action looking rifle. I think its an m24 or r700.

No, it's not ambidextrous.
On the real-steel, there's an ejector welded to the inside of the receiver tube which ejects the empty cases out to the right, meaning the magazine HAS to be on the left when firing.
The housing was made to rotate downwards for ease of packing, and to close the ports off for storage.
I've NEVER seen one rotated beyond straight down.
AFAIK, AGM have it right where it will only go from horizontal on the left to straight down.

WE is making a series of changes to their addon kits, including the chance to change your WE brass tube to no brass tube blow back design..

First will come the m14<-no brass tube then pdw, then scar, then the we m4/16.

I think the ACR was just for testing- MagPul PTS was going to come out with a GBB kit for their ACR (it’s going to be an AEG at release), and they were wondering which system- WA or WE – they would want to go with…
