Real Sword is throwing their hat into the ring and joining the likes of WE, Inokatsu, G&P, WA, ViperTech and will soon be offering their own version of the venerable Colt M4A1 GBBR. Revealed at the BlackHole Exhibition in Japan along with the long awaited Type 97 Sniper Variant GBB (bottom row), Real Sword has offered little in the way of specifications but I believe it’s powered by the WA type gas system. The M4A1 GBB will be available in standard and RIS versions, no word yet on price or availability at this stage.
Update: Real Sword has made contact with us and advised that the Type 97 Sniper will be an AEG.

Are you sure their Type 97 sniper(basically a QBU-88) is a GBBR? The catalogue shows it being an electric non blowback. I can barely make out the writing on the sign and my Japanese sucks but I can see it's an 88rd magazine which is too many for a gas gun. I'm suprised their releasing it with a scope perhaps it'll be an option like with their Dragunov SVD.
It makes more sense to me too that it's electric but Real Sword announced a gas powered Type 97 Sniper back in mid 2007, released images in mid 2008, and as far as I know this is the first Real Sword QBU-88 replica seen in the flesh so I'm going to assume it's the gas version. It's possible they decided to switch to electric so I've posed the question to RS but no reply yet.
