A grainy video of this TOP shell ejecting blowback M4 AEG hit the web last week but our friends at hyperdouraku.com shot some sweet footage of the TOP representatives testing it at the BlackHole event in Tokyo this weekend.
While the practicality for skirmishing of the shell ejecting model is somewhat limited, it would be great for realistic milsim or even as a movie prob. The engineering involved to achieve the rate of fire from a magazine of 5.56 sized cartridges stuffed with a single BB under electric power, is astounding. Note, this is a very early prototype which explains the naked aluminium, so no availability at this stage but it’s rumoured to be released around the end of the year with a MSRP of 49,500yen. The video below also features a tan Magpul adorned non-shell ejecting TOP M4 AEG that is rocking some sweet blowback action. Enjoy.

Update: As JT points out in the comments below, both AEGs featured in the video have the same system of being readily convertible to operate in shell ejecting mode or normal mode, of which, will accept TM compatible MAGs. Nice.

Amazing, hope they come on sale here in the UK. As for the video, I hope our Japanese counterparts learn when to have safety goggles on eventually!
The non-shell ejecting type is a same gun as the shell ejecting type. The shell ejecting type can be converted to non-shell ejecting type by option.
Almost all M4 Electric Air Soft accessories can be used by this gun. When converted to non-shell ejecting type, the gun allows to use TM Mag !
